Multitudes gather at 519, Church Street, Toronto the headquarters of the LGBTQ in Canada to participate in the 2024 edition of Pride Parade which took place on the 29th and 30th of June, 2024.
Many participants were seen beaming with smile as they express their joy over their freedom to live their lives with their chosen sexual orientation. Many nationals were seen from all the continents of the world particularly, Asian and Africans who have come out en-mass to associate with the LGBTQ. Interestingly, our correspondent that cover the event reported that amongst the different nationals were Nigerians who have escaped to Canada to continue living their lives as a member of the LGBTQ community.
Some of the participants who our correspondent interviewed were; Oludare Olukunle Olutomilola, Ogunyemi Oluwatobi Oye and Shoetan Mumunat Labake.

Others are Babatunde Oluwasegun Samson, Oladerin Bilikis Amoke, Onowho Sekinat Titilope, Awe-Kolade Balqees Oluwatoyin, Abidemi Oyeniyi, Funmmilayo, Omolayo Ayobamidele, Olayemi Ayisat Olawumi, Adebayo Olaniyi Oluwaseun and Abraham Ifeoluwa Ishola
Apart from those listed above, there are also thousands that attended the event that were so happy that Canadian government gave them the lifeline to practice their love life.
They are all happy that Canada had afforded them the opportunity to live their lives the way they chose.
They claimed to have been living their lives freely since they arrived Canada without fear of being arrested, molested, prosecuted and jailed for living their lives the best way they chose.
They lamented how badly people caught in the act in Nigeria are treated, reiterating that they are not criminals like Nigerian Police do call them but, they chose to live their lives without pretending to be happy with the opposite sex while indeed, they derive their joy living otherwise.
It could be recalled that Canada, a nation known for its warm embrace of immigrants, welcomed thousands of individuals from Nigeria showcasing its continued commitment to diversity and growth.

In Canada, Pride Season takes place during the summer months, from June through to September. It is an opportunity to recognize, celebrate, and learn more about the countless contributions Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and additional sexually and gender-diverse identities (2SLGBTQI+) Canadians have made to the Department of National Defence (DND), the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and to the country.
Pride Season encompasses a wide range of Pride events under one umbrella:.
