The Office of SSA-P’s on Community Engagement led by Hon. Abdullahi Yakasai and Barr. Mrs Chioma Nweze with others have paid a courtesy visit to Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Hon. Mrs Uju Keneddy Ohanenye to discuss the possible collaboration of the Ministry for the upliftment of the rural women at the community level
In a statement signed by Barr. Mrs Chioma Nweze, SSA to president Tinubu on Community Engagements Southeast zone, noted that their discussion with the Honourable Minister on how to collaborate and Uplift Rural Women at the community level by leveraging on the Opportunities and Programs of the Ministry towards changing the Status of Rural Women which is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
According to Nweze explained that the Honourable Minister has assured them of effective collaboration, and it is noteworthy that she means it.
“Acknowledging her proactivity since she assumed office, in curbing the exploitation of the young and vulnerable women. It is our expectation that women at the community level outgrow some social imbalance meted upon them by Urban’s.”
The OSSA-P’s on Community Engagement commended the Hon. Minister on how she has since her appointment, stood on the side of Women especially young and vulnerable women being exploited on issues of Social Vises.
“Worth Celebrating, is her role in curbing the exploitation of young girls by Hoteliers which she strive to enforce and give them protection. We also commended her role on Women Empowerment in Farming and other Women Economic Empowerment WEE & Gender Based Violence GBV.”
