The General Manager, Cooperate Affairs of National Inland Waterways Authority, (NIWA) Alhaji Jibril Dardau, has died in Lokoja, Kogi State.

A family source said that Dardau slumped and died shortly after leading an early morning prayer at the mosque on Friday, April 5, 2024.

“He slumped in his sitting room this morning. He had been managing High Blood Pressure, BP for sometimes now,” the source who craved anonymity told the Daily Trust.

“He lost his most senior wife last year.”

The cooperate headquarters of NIWA in Lokoja was thrown into mourning when the news of his sudden death trickled in in the early hours of the day.

The deceased was buried at Unguwan Power graveyard in Lokoja, after Friday’s Juma’at prayer
