He said the military has been outstanding in the defence of the territorial integrity of the country as well as as fight against insurgency.

He commended the resilient spirit of the military in the defence of the Nation’s territorial integrity.

” As leaders we need to be open to our people. I have told my brother Governors in different fora that it is important we let the people know what we are doing and is the only way they can also make their own contributions to governance and possibly give corrections when necessary. I have often said that no man is perfect and as leaders we should be open for corrections at all times to enable us improve ”

The Governor urged the participants to use the visit to engage Traditional Rulers and community leaders on how to boost security in their areas.

” Leaders should not make fake promises that will make people loose confidence in them . We should always try to build confidence in our citizens. This is part of what we did that made Ebonyi one of the safest states in the federation. Even on Mondays , people go about their normal businesses because there is nothing like sit at home in Ebonyi.”

He urged them to avail the state the results of the study to enable the state find and improve on areas they have not done well.
