This is the second edition of the competition which she intends to use in inspiring young athletes who want to be like her.

The events took place on Friday and Saturday.

On October 19, Amusa wrote about the competition on Instagram. She said, “It’s the second edition of our vision for unlocking GRASS-ROOT SPORTS DEVELOPMENT / OPEN EVENTS in my county (ljebu-Ode, Ogun State).”

The 26-year-old said she teamed up with Abiola Onakoya, who specialises in the 400 metres category, for the yearly competition.

“This is a unique opportunity to join a thought-provocative initiative of grooming future leaders & trailblazers; this year’s Series Two of IJEBU to the WORLD commences on the 3rd & 4th of November 2023,” Amusan added.

The athletes will be hoping for improved performances next year after having a quiet 2023.
