PDP governors hail Tinubu for appointing Wike FCT minister

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the ex-governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, as minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

The PDP Governors Forum paid a courtesy visit to the FCT Minister on Wednesday following the political crisis rocking the Rivers State Government House.

The chairman of the forum and former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed, who spoke after the meeting, hailed Tinubu for appointing Wike despite being in the opposition.

According to him, “At the risk of being accused of flattery, we really appreciate Mr President and Nyesom Wike. Again, giving him this office at the FCT, which is like a state, in spite of the fact that he is still one of us as a PDP member, has shown the kind of leadership that Mr President has.”
