Angry mob almost lynched a yet to be identified man and set his car ablaze for allegedly stealing someone’s manhood in Mararaba area of Nasarawa State.

The incident happened in the Sharp Corner area of Mararaba on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

It was gathered that the alleged victim felt a sensation and raised the alarm, attracting passersby who caught the suspect.

The mob beat the suspect to stupour and set his SUV on fire.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, October 8, said the man escaped being killed due to the timely response of the cops.

According to the PPRO, two persons arrested were taken to the hospital for a check-up, and doctors gave them a clean bill of health.

“There was a mob attack yesterday in Mararaba, and the Police force quickly intervened. Two people were arrested and taken to the hospital, where they were given a clean bill of health,” he said.

“No one was killed in the incident due to the timely response of the Police force,” Nansel added.
