Drake won $ 2.7 million after betting on Israel Adesanya’s win against Alex Pereira at UFC 287.

Adesanya defeated Pereira to reclaim the middleweight belt title in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

This came five months after he lost it to his bitter rival Pereira who had beaten him twice in kickboxing.

Drake previously lost $ 1.6 million on Adesanya in that fight, yet the rapper staked his funds in the rematch.

As revealed via his social handle, he placed a $500,000 bet on Adesanya to win which is to return $885,000.

The rapper also staked another $400,000 for him to win by knockout, which is to return $1.8 million.

This amounts to a cumulative $2,685,000 win, following Adesanya’s victory at the rematch.

Asked about Drake’s bet after his fight, Adesanya said: “Shoutout to everyone that bet on me.

“You have to realise that when I step into the octagon, I put my life on the line.

“That’s the biggest parlay you can ever do.

“I’m a betting man too so shoutout to stake, we are about to make another deal and get more money.”

Drake became notable for his UFC stakes when he backed Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington in March.

The rapper lost $275,000 in the fight and $400,000 when Justin Gaethje was choked out by Charles Oliveira.

Drake broke his bad luck by winning $1 million when Adesanya beat Jared Cannonier in their title fight last July.

He also raked in $3.6 million when Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann won their respective fights at UFC London.
