Man to die by hanging for killing woman in Jigawa

Jigawa State High Court in Birnin Kudu has sentenced Isyaku Wakili Gwanto to death by hanging for killing Malama Malora Adamu.
The accused was earlier arraigned before the court over the alleged beheading of the victim with a machete at Duliyari Fulani settlement in Kirikasamma Local Government.

The presiding judge, Justice Musa Ubale said the offence is culpable homicide punishable with death under Section 221(b) of the Penal Code.
Justice Ubale said the prosecuting counsel had proved his case beyond reasonable doubt and therefore sentenced the accused person to death by hanging to serve as deterrence to others
