“This seminar will be replicated at the State levels, Area Commands and divisions to cascade knowledge acquired and make it all inclusive for effective operation.

He mentioned that Civil Defence Corps together with other sister agencies are resolved to work together to ensure peaceful conduct of the general elections.

Concerning the forthcoming mock exercise on BVAS, Commandant Agboola assured the team of Civil Defence protection for all those who will participate as well as electoral materials.

When asked about the ongoing electioneering campaigns, he dismissed any security threats and assured the team that the era of ballot snatching is completely over.

“Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps is apolitical and will discharge her responsibility accordingly in support of the yearning of President Buhari to conduct a free, fair and credible election”.

Earlier, head of European Union Observer for the State, Dagmar Raudam briefed the corps on the essence of the visit and to also ascertain the command’s preparedness at ensuring peaceful elections in the State.

She commended the command for her professionalism while calling for more dedication and commitment at ensuring that the elections are peaceful.

“You are civil in your approach to the public, thus, your acceptability and confidence reposed on the agency to ensure protection of electoral materials in the forthcoming election.
