A helicopter in President Muhammadu Buhari’s convoy was attacked by some Kano residents during a visit to the state on Monday, January 30.

President Buhari is currently in the state to commission some projects. During the visit, some Kano residents were spotted in videos shared online, throwing stones at the helicopter and chanting “Bamayi” (we don’t want).

This is coming days after Governor Abdullahi Ganduje asked Buhari to postpone his visit due to security issues that may arise from the hardship Nigerians are facing due to the Naira swap deadline and fuel scarcity.
