Intervention in the release of detained four Yewa indigenes: YPDC commends Hon.Jimoh Olaifa, assures of future support
An umbrella body for all Yewa Socio Political, Cultural groups, Yewa People Development Council (YPDC) has commended the honourable representing Imeko Afon/Yewa North at the house of representatives, Hon Jimoh Olaifa for his intervention in securing the release of four officers of Dynamic Farmers Association, Ayetoro, Yewa North local government area of Ogun state.
YPDC, in a thank you letter, appreciated Hon Olaifa, popularly called OJA for his heroic intervention in ensuring the legal release of the detained farmers.
It could be recalled that earlier this year some farmers from Saala Orile, in Yewa North local government area of Ogun State were arrested by operatives of Ogun State Police Command following a clash with some herdsmen in the area.
The herdsmen had accused the farmers of been bandits, a situation that led to their incarceration since March, this year
But Yewa People Development Council who was at the fore front of groups calling for the unconditional release of the farmers contacted all lawmakers from the zone to legally intervene in the release of the farmers.

It was gathered that of all the lawmakers approached, only Hon. Jimoh Olaifa dutifully intervened and got them off the police hook.
YPDC, in appreciating the patriotic intervention of Hon Olaifa, penned down a letter of appreciation signed by Pastor Bamidele Akinola, Secretary of the Governing Council.

You are a Gem of Yewa extract on the land of this country Nigeria.
Of note is that out of all our Political representatives in both the National and
State Assemblies that we officially contacted through letters for help and
assistance, you were the ONLY one who rose up to the call and the challenge
while others appeared unconcerned. The whole Yewaland salute and commend you sir. This your Heroic action would go down in the history of Yewaland and in the Hall of Fame as a Man of Conscience who stood out firm and represented
Yewaland in time of Cry for Justice.
It is extremely rare to find a selfless leader and a Representative like you who listen to the cry of the people of his land of birth intently to deescalate a terrible situation such as what was met upon our people by tribe of the hegemony power on the throne in Nigeria.
You have by this your effort, raised the bar for who should be elected to represent us in Yewaland. You have given us the template of measurement of performance. You have made your position of great repute compared with the
other two Law Makers who somehow became unperturbed to our cry to create a safer environment for all Yewa People. It is truly an honor to have you as a listening and caring representative from Yewaland.
