The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) across the six local government areas in Ijebuland has announced plans to host a three-day revival crusade, tagged “Gospel One-On-One Azusa Crusade”, aimed at rekindling faith and ushering in divine encounters for the people of the region.

The spiritual event, scheduled for October 8–10, 2025, will take place at the Ijebu-Ode Local Government premises, Itoro. According to CAN, the crusade will feature prayers, miracles, healings, and teachings designed to reawaken God’s purpose for the people of Ijebuland.

Speaking at a press briefing held at the CAN Secretariat in Ijebu-Ode South on Wednesday, Bishop Hon. Dr. Wasiu Olalekan Oluwatosin ILCG JP, Chairman of CAN Ijebu-Ode South, assured residents that the crusade will be a life-changing encounter.

“Ijebu people are sociable, but there is a need for us to also draw closer to God in our daily lives. Any nation without God’s presence is bound for destruction. This revival is an awakening for all Ijebu residents, both at home and abroad; to receive blessings, freedom from bondage, and a renewed vision for God’s kingdom,” he said.

Also addressing the gathering, CAN liaison officer Pastor Idowu Mathew emphasized the spiritual significance of the crusade.

“The essence of this revival is to bring people closer to God, heal the land, and ignite the fire of faith in all who believe. It is a divine opportunity for breakthroughs and restoration.”

With expectations running high, CAN leaders have called on all indigenes and residents of Ijebuland to participate fully in the three-day crusade, which they believe will mark a turning point in the spiritual renewal of the city.
