Sholuade while reacting to Oladunjoye response to the CUPP earlier statement on the alleged nepotism and maladministration by the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, said the statement credited to Oladunjoye lacks substance and devoid of facts

It could be recalled that Comrade Oladunjoye has recently described CUPP as a group of deregistered political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) due to inactivity, lack of public support, and failure to meet electoral requirements.

In his response, Dr Femi Sholuade said Oladunjoye comments is a “sad commentary and a surprise that a Party Spokesman took over the job of the information commissioner whose office is yet to be filled, in order to warm himself to the heart of the Governor for the office and descended to the gutter with his vituperations..

He urged Oladunjoye to withdraw his comments about CUPP and his members which he described as “preposterous and lacking in substance.

“CUPP was established by Memorandum of Association comprising Political Associations and Political Parties in Nigeria for advocacy to promote and propagate good Governance and good conscience for the political leaders while Inter Party Advisory Council , (IPAC) was established by code of conduct and every member of Inter-Party Advisory Council are automatic members of CUPP which includes, eminent members of Legislators and numerous associations and Political Parties such as- AA, AD, ADC, PDP, LP, PRP, PPN, APGA, PPA and others, APC is also a member by default and “Nothing is Cast in Stone”

“Otunba Femi Soluade Chairman of ADC ( A registered Political Party) was appointed Chairman of CUPP Ogun Chapter by the National Body and members of his executive are legitimate.

Sholuade added “not everyone is a “Bread and Butter Is Ready” politician like Oladunjoye, a champion of EGG “Every Government Goes” a recycled nomadic politician.

“His ability as turncoat during election seasons is legendary, lacking a second address and his sordid antecedents during the Otunba Gbenga Daniel Government is still evergreen.

Soluade said further that “I served as a member of Ogun State Hospital Management Board where we improvised and turned around the fortune of once moribund Hospital Management Board during the meltdown alongside Dr Isiaq Salako, the then Health Commissioner, who later served as Chairman of OGHMB and now our proud and resourceful Minster of Health, The current Commissioner for Youths and Sports Mr Wasiu Isiaka served out in HMB and we are particularly proud of the young man’s great exploits in the ministry.

“CUPP would have been worried if the likes of analogue spokesman Oladunjoye did not dignify us, with uncouth vituperations but we are happy that our advocacy for good Governance is paying off by the declaration of the Government to refund about N92.6 million back to civil servants who were denied allocation after payment for almost four years under unclear circumstances.

“We demand and admonish the Governor to add interest to the money kept in the cover of Government for almost four years to enable the Civil Servants keep up with the inflation, hard time, and possible alternative shelters.

“After our First Press Conference, it is gratifying and commendable to note that our dear Brother Governor is now alive to his responsibility and, has rolled out earthmovers and equipment to our major and feeder roads and we learnt that he also flagged off construction works at Alagbole axis all at the Central Senatorial Districts and others districts.

“We pray he sustain this tempo in the interest of the people if he desires to leave enduring legacy..

“Finally, CUPP advise the Governor to deliver more on his Campaign promises and come to equity to do justice and redistribution of our common wealth and appointments, get local content by empowering our citizens, engage them in development activities and productivity to banish poverty among the populace, especially the artisans, idle men and youths whose hands are devil’s workshop to reduce crime and urge for quick money that is prevalent in our clime and prevent capital flights.
