Chairman of the Delta State Ethnic Peace Cup Local Organizing Committee,LOC, Chief Ken Nwoamucha has pledged an electrifying and entertaining final match between Team Itsekiri (Ugbomarun) against Team Ndokwa (Ndokwa East United FC) of the prestigious tournament by 4pm immediately the end of the 3rd place match between Team Urhobo (Udu United FC) and Team Isoko (Winsome Fc) at Baptist High school.

The event aims to foster unity and peaceful coexistence among various ethnic groups in Delta State through football.

The former Delta state football association chairman and retired professional footballer assured participants and spectators that extensive arrangements have been made to ensure a memorable experience. “We’ve worked tirelessly to create an exciting atmosphere, complete with thrilling entertainment, cultural displays and excellent football,” he said.

The final match promises to be a thrilling encounter, with top-notch teams competing for the coveted title. The event will also feature traditional dance troupes, cultural performances and exciting giveaways. Adequate security measures will be in place to guarantee the safety of all attendees.

The Delta Ethnic Peace Cup has promoted unity, provided a platform for young footballers (Under 20) to showcase their talents and fostered community engagement. The tournament has become a symbol of harmony among Delta State’s diverse ethnic groups.

The grand finale is scheduled to take place at the Baptist High School Field, Orerokpe Town on Sunday, 8th December 2024 at 2pm.
