A married man identified as Sambo Paul has been accused of hacking a 25-year-old lady, Saraphina Daniel, to d@ath with a cutlass after she rejected his sexual advances in Kaduna State.
The incident happened in Kasabere community in Kagarko Local Government Area of the state on August 19, 2024.
Salient Times reports that the deceased’s brother, Daniel Yusuf, who disclosed this in a Facebook post, said the suspect, who is from a neighboring community and married to two wives, had been pestering his sister to date him but she refused.
According to Yusuf, the last time his sister turned down the suspect’s proposal, telling him to focus on his family, he left but returned two months later.
Yusuf said that on that fateful day, the suspect went to his family house when nobody was around and laid in wait for Saraphina come out.
When she came out of the house, the suspect allegedly pounced on her and attacked her with a machete, inflicting severe cuts on her body.

At about 10:42pm 0n a Sunday evening 19th August 2024, I receive a call from my community called KASABERE in KAGARKO Local Government Area, Southern part of KADUNA STATE of one Mr. SAMBO PUAL known as (SP) from an opposite community called DOGON-KURMI, Murder MISS. SARAPHINA DANIEL 25 years, Who happen to be my blood related Sister.
MR. SAMBO PUAL (The Murderer) who is MARRIED to two WIVES presently was asking my sister, Miss. Saraphina Daniel out and she turned his offer to love him down because he is Married to Wives already but, Mr. Sambo Pual didn’t give up but keep coming, my sister in question Late Saraphina Daniel told Mr. Sambo Paul to go FOCUS on his Family and leave her alone
Mr. Sambo Pual harbor the issue in mind and left for two (2) months to returned yesterday Sunday at 10pm 19th August 2024 to my family house when nobody was around and hide behind the kitchen with cutlass waiting for my dear sister to come out and unfortunately came with no idea and Mr. Sambo Pual MACHETE with , MISS SARAPHINA DANIEL TO DEATH
