The Progressive Ambassadors Movement, (PAM) Nigeria has distance self from the nationwide planned protest bid to take from Thursday August 1st ,2024.

Addressing newsmen after an emergency meeting of her National working Committee members today Wednesday 31/7/2024, Amb. Comr. Edeh Paschal Miracle , said members of the group will not participate in the protest .

” We have agreed that dialogue is the best and only sure way as a people and nation. It’s the right time we need to trust our leaders as we seek and engage in meaningful discussion and profers solutions to the problems facing us today. It’s time to share ideas and opinions as individuals and groups.

“Labour did it and we all witnessed it today. Let do this protect through dialogue and not on the streets destroying innocence Nigerians properties and still will have no results.”

The group global Converner and National Coordinator, Amb. Paschal used the medium to calls on all members of PAM Nigeria never to participate in the protest which has already been hijacked and sponsored by undemocratic Politicians especially those against the current administration led by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu Tinubu. He say while protest is another medium through which the people’s express their dissatisfication, it should be properly organinse and independent not been sponsored by Politicians who are not privileged to be part of the administration.

Paschal further added that while the movement may disagreed with the government in certain decisions and policies, dialogue remain the best way .He also took some notable positions regarding the planned protest scheduled for August 1st, 2024 in Nigeria. According to the statement by the National/Global Convener Amb. Comr. Edeh Paschal Miracle he said, We understand there are plans for an upcoming protest regarding current issues facing our nation and we recognize the concerns motivating this action, we strongly advise PAM members and Nigerian youth against participating in this protest with hashtag #Endbadgovernance for the following reasons:

  1. Safety concerns: Large gatherings can pose risks to personal safety, especially in tense situations.
  2. Potential for unintended consequences: Protests can sometimes escalate beyond their intended scope.
  3. Alternative channels: There are other effective ways to voice concerns and advocate for change.

Instead, we encourage you to:

  • Engage in constructive dialogue with local and national representatives
  • Participate in community organizations working towards positive change
  • Utilize social media and other platforms to share your views responsibly

The National Convener call on the government to review some of its policies with the aim of benefiting the citizenry.

We urge you to consider the underlying issues prompting this planned protest. We recommend:

  1. Reviewing and potentially revising policies affecting youth employment and economic opportunities
  2. Increasing transparency in governance and decision-making processes
  3. Expanding channels for citizen feedback and participation in policy formulation
  4. Investing in education and skill development programs for youth

He said by addressing these concerns proactively, Nigerian can work together to build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria without resorting to potentially disruptive protests.

On his part , the Coordinator Of State Coordinators Forum PAM, Distg. Comr. Amb. Nubor Optimist Goteh, said all issues discussed at the NWC are pertinent to the Nation development and building especially at this point of time Nigerians expect more actions than a mere radio Program.

Comr. Optimist, who double as Rivers State Coordinator, say all decisions reached at the PAM NWC will be implemented to the letter and all the state Coordinators has already sent in their willingness to adhered to these decision.

He further advised those members of the public who may have been brainwashed to use their heads knowing that tomorrow may be better than today .
” Our tomorrow may be better than today but today gave birth to tomorrow. Let’s us not be used by this same Politicians who neglected us yesterday when they were in power. Yes protest is good and we can achieve our quests via it if it’s organised and coordinated by only us the poor and less-privilege Nigerians, living in Nigeria because we understand what a takes to live here”.
