A Kano woman, Hafsa Ibrahim, has been remanded by a Shari’a Court for hitting her husband, Jamilu Muhammad, with a local pressing iron and cutting 90 sets of his clothes to pieces.

The woman was alleged to have carried out the action after she suspected the husband of chatting with other women on his phone.

The prosecutor, Usman Shuaibu Dala, told the court that Hafsa injured her husband by hitting him in the head with a local iron.

Dala also explained to the court that she used scissors to cut 90 sets of his clothes to pieces and seized his handset worth N80,000.

However, Hafsa denied the allegations.
