Ebonyi Governor Wife Charges Women To Add Value For Whatever They Do

The wife of the Governor of Ebonyi state Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru has charged women to attach value first to themselves and their aspirations will fall into place.
She noted that women are potential leaders and can do better if given positions.
Mrs Nwifuru who was on of the panelist during Voice of Women, (VOW), 2023 Conference Award, held Wednesday, at the NAF Conference centre Abuja.
The governor’s wife revealed plans to unveil a project that will involve women and engage youths on ICT in the state, reiterating that the Ebonyi state government under the leadership of her husband, His Excellency Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has appointed women into key positions.
In his remark, the Chairman Nigeria Governor’s forum and governor of kwara state, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq advised women to engage the Presidency to engage lawmakers in constitutional amendment that passes ta law that any statethat does not elect a female, must have a female deputy Gov. And vice versa in the House of Assembly.
He promised to reach out to his brother Governors at the Forum to come on and help tackle the gender issues and find a way on putting a balance in order to move the country forward.
Also, kwara state First Lady, Olufolake Molawa Davies Abdulrazaq emphasized on advocacy for the political will for women noting that “developmental goals cannot be achieved if women are left behind. ”
According to Mrs AbdulRasaq, ” The human rights of women are nonnegotiable amd invaluable.”
Earlier, Mrs Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the Chairperson of the occasion, lamented that Nigeria continues to feature poorly on the difficult circumstances women live their lives on a daily basis.
According to Erelu “the most recent global gap index for 2023 ranked Nigeria 130th out of 146 countries.
