Gov’s Wife Distributes Gift Items, Cash To hospitals, old people’s home in Ebonyi

The Wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru has paid an unscheduled visit to hospitals while also distributed gift items and cash to the visited old people’s home and Hospitals in the state.
The Governor’s wife was received on arrival at the hospitals by matrons at the various facilities visited and, was ushered to the post delivery wards of the healthcare facilities where she reached out to nursing mothers and their babies with financial support and gifts.
She commenced the visit at Society of St. Vincent de Paul Old People and Destitutte homes, St Patrick Hospital Mile Four, St. Theresa’s hospital and maternity and Iboko izzi general hospital.
The Governor’s wife who embarked on the visitation in company of top women government officials, congratulated the new mothers who were visibly elated to see her and distributed bags of rice, garri, foams, buckets and baby items to the indigent people.
Mrs Nwifuru said that the essence of the exercise was motivated out of love and appreciation to the group and to let them know she will continue to support them
She also said that the distribution of the gift items was to give succour to the downtrodden in the society.
In his vote of thanks, Mr Lekpa John, Caretaker and inmate of the Old peoples homes, thanked Mrs Nwifuru for magnanimity and commitment to their wellbeing and welfare at all times.
Also, nursing mothers, Mrs Esther Nwali and Ogechi Kingsley, appreciated the wife of the governor for the gifts, applauding her fights against gender based violence and other social vices affecting women and children in the state.
